The Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) is a standard tool to improve the road safety performance of WHO vehicles. VTS reports are also used to monitor vehicle usage and performance as well as driver behaviour.
All new WHO vehicles purchased by WHO must be equipped as standard with VTS.
WHO offices must budget for the purchase and running costs of the VTS.
VTS reports provided by the tracking system should be treated as confidential and made available to the HWO and or the AO/OO by the Transport Manager/Assistant.
Deactivation or removal of a tracking device can only be performed by the Transport Manager/Assistant with written approval from ASO. Tampering with VTS equipment is strictly prohibited.
